Events to look forward to...

All Saints Sunday
Sunday, November 6th
9:00 am

This service celebrates the saints that have gone before us through candle-lighting and prayer. This day we also celebrated the saints among us, as St. James formally invited and accepted new members into our family.

Blue Christmas
Sunday, December 11th
4:00 pm

For many people, Christmastime is not always a joyful time. Many people struggle through the holidays, feeling more sorrow and pain than joy and gladness. If you feel this way, or if you know people who struggle with the holidays, come to the Blue Christmas service and experience time for mourning, for healing, and for rest. God-Immanuel remains with us, even in our sorrow and struggle, even as we await the coming of Christ. In this service, the whole community is invited to be a part of a community that understands the struggle. Following the service of word and song, healing oil and pastoral caregivers will be available.

PLANT SALE
Saturday April 30
9am - 2pm

Spruce up this year's garden with a variety of plants for sale! Most will be plants grown in individuals' gardens (or greenhouses), but some annuals and houseplants will also be available. St. James is co-sponsoring this event with the Lithuanian Home Church
the congregation with whom St. James shares space. All proceeds from the event will go to support the ministries of both congregations.

Pet Blessing
June 6, 2011
9:00 am

The pet blessing happens each spring. Members of the church and the whole community bring pets to be blessed... do you have a pet who could use a blessing? Come and celebrate God's love for all of God's creatures! (And it's always followed by an ice cream social -- with treats for the dogs as well!)
